Entrepreneurship in the field - innovating is necessary!
Entrepreneurship continues to be an important subject, because entrepreneurship generates a positive impact on the economy of any country, and when this is done consciously, the greater are the chances of the entrepreneur contributing to an improvement in the economy, job creation, and innovation for the market. In agribusiness it is no different.
In Brazil agribusiness is considered one of the most productive sectors of the economy, and this is due a lot to the entrepreneurs who innovated and made Brazilian agribusiness a world reference. Proof of this is that, in the midst of the crisis generated by the Covid-19 Pandemic, the performance of Brazilian agribusiness proved to be strong and surpassed productivity records.
⠀⠀⠀⠀
But after all, what is entrepreneurship? What is being an entrepreneur? Many still confuse entrepreneur with business owner. Did you know that to be an entrepreneur it is not necessarily necessary to own a business? And that not everyone who owns a business is an entrepreneur?
⠀⠀⠀⠀
Entrepreneurship is extremely linked to innovation, to identifying a problem and finding a solution, often in a creative way!
⠀⠀⠀⠀
An entrepreneur in agribusiness will identify problems and opportunities linked to the sector and will transform them into solutions that will benefit the sector and society in general. They can be services, sell products, provide consulting, create applications or software. Besides products and services that will generate profits for companies, the entrepreneur seeks to create a solution that will create value for society. In other words, their solutions may be associated with improving people's lives, either through new products and services, or even through activities that do not necessarily aim to sell anything.
In addition, there are the intrapreneurs, those entrepreneurs who do not necessarily open a company, but start up a business in the companies where they are employees. They are the corporate entrepreneurs responsible for innovating within the companies where they work. Employees with entrepreneurial characteristics are increasingly requested to contribute to make the company grow, and some put their ideas into practice, bringing results to the companies.
⠀⠀⠀⠀
Currently, when we talk about entrepreneurship in agribusiness, we are dealing with startup ecosystems, smart companies that use biotechnology, IoT (Internet of Things), and AI (Artificial Intelligence). But technology is not necessarily the source for entrepreneurship and innovation, we can think of new ways to insert the agribusiness product in the market, new processes that can improve the lives of rural workers, actions that can reduce the impact of business on the environment. In this moment of great economic and social challenges, entrepreneurship in Agribusiness is full of opportunities, the important thing is to demonstrate the ability to see the problems in any area or activity and, based on them, develop solutions, transforming them into a business or improving the existing one.
⠀⠀⠀⠀
Entrepreneurship is linked to action, so we need to be aware of the events that occur in the environment where we are inserted.... in many cases it is the environment that ends up showing the entrepreneur a path to the future...it is the moment to trigger the entrepreneurial spark! As professor José Dornelas would say: "Entrepreneurship is the act of making dreams come true, transforming ideas into opportunities, and acting to realize objectives, generating value for society." Agribusiness presents us with several possibilities to innovate, so let's get entrepreneurial?
